Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

These are so good, you’ll want to eat them all at once!

These seeds are great to have in your pantry. You can use them in shakes, sprinkle on your salads, or simply eat them as they are. Not only are they tasty, they are really easy and quick to make.

Toasted Tamari Pumpkin Seeds

Ingredients:

Pumpkin Seeds 1 cup
Tamari 1-2 teaspoons

Method:

Add your seeds to a dry frypan. Toast them gently until they start to “pop”. You will hear this and see the seeds popping out of the pan (a bit like popcorn). Once the seeds have a bit of colour, remove the pan from the heat, and turn off the heat.

With one hand, jiggle the frypan whilst slowly adding a small drizzle of tamari. Don’t go overboard with the tamari as it could become too salty. The seeds will stick together and stick to the pan, that’s OK. You can use a spatula move them around and coat them.

Leave the seeds in pan to cool. Once cooled, put the toasted seeds into a container and store in the pantry.
